[closed] Kotori and Alit

Who: Kotori [[personal profile] kotoribingu] and Alit [[personal profile] redflamed]
What: Yuma's been unfortunately signed up for cleaning duty (thanks Shingetsu) and can't fulfill a promise he made to Kotori. Alit happens to be walking by and volunteers to take his place.
Rating: G-PG.

Alit ran and hand through his hair as he shouldered his bag to go home. He was planning on getting some training done today, so maybe he wouldn't take his time getting back to the hide out...or whatever Gilag called it. Walking by Yuma and Kotori, he noticed the fair maiden girl looked rather irritated while Yuma was bowed deeply in apology.

"Kotori, I really don't know how I got signed up to clean all the classrooms. Shingetsu's going to help me, but I'm really sorry." Yuma genuinely looked apologetic for once, and Kotori finally seemed to waver a little bit. Alit was going to pass by them when he was unfortunately spotted by a pair of bright red eyes. Suddenly, he had a Yuma shaped attachment on his back, looking at him.

"Alit! You can go with her, right? I promised her I'd go shopping, but somehow I forgot that I had cleaning duty today. Can you please go with her so she doesn't have to cancel?" Before Alit could answer, Yuma was already hopping away from him.

"Thanks for volunteering, I gotta go! Bye Alit, bye Kotori!" Alit tried to form the words, but he couldn't figure out what to say before Yuma and Shingetsu were gone, laughing down the hallway. Turning around, he looked to Kotori, feeling his face heat up.

Honestly, if it hadn't been for the fact that Yuuma had looked genuinely apologetic, Kotori would've given him an earful for being so forgetful. All the same, she would've at least told him to go on with the cleaning - his responsibilities were more important than her wanting to go shopping with him.

Though, the moment Yuuma latched onto Alit, Kotori looked a bit exasperated. There wasn't any need for him to go on like that and drag someone into doing it in his place. She appreciated the thought that Yuuma put into the action, but geez. And she didn't even get the chance to protest on behalf of herself or Alit before he was heading off like the idiot he was.

Kotori huffed a bit as he ran off, but as her eyes fell on Alit, her expression immediately softened and she stepped closer to him, looking a bit sheepish for a moment. "That Yuuma, geez..." She sighed and clasped her hands in front of her, bowing her head apologetically. "I'm sorry that he dragged you into doing something like this. Though, if you don't want to, I don't mind. I had a feeling something like this would happen anyway."

See, the funny thing about Kotori is that it really never took much to please her. Granted, her standards were a bit lower thanks to Yuuma, but all it took was someone saying that they'd go shopping with her or just asking to have lunch on the school roof. Anything that involved her doing anything with a friend made her happy.

So hearing Alit relent and agree anyway, that got a relieved sort of smile from her and she could've very nearly hugged him in that moment. And maybe spending time alone with Alit was a bit of a risky situation for her heart, but she could handle it, she was positive. (Though if she kept actually looking at him, she'd find it more and more difficult to resist anything he might try, she just knew it.)

"Are you sure?" Kotori asked, but she quickly shook her head. He wouldn't have said so if he wasn't, right? The smile that followed was a bright one, and she reached out and curled her fingers around one of his wrists to start guiding him along.

It wasn't like they were holding hands or anything.

"Thank you. It's hard to find good company to go shopping with these days." Aside from Rio, at least. Rio was the best.

Blinking at the offer of his arm, Kotori admittedly found it a little strange. But... he was being so kind, so sweet, so how could she not? She giggled and reached out for him, looping her arm around his. Briefly, she felt a lump in her throat, but... that was silly, there was no reason for her to be nervous, right? They were just going shopping!

(But there was just something about him...)

"I was doing this with Yuuma because he needs to learn what clothing coordination is, but I'm not even sure if you need the help," she admitted, her laughter taking a bit of a nervous turn. A moment of pause, and she shook her head. "I'm sure we'll have fun anyway. I'm not worried."
